For the Pontian Greeks - 19 May: a day of memory
Under the auspices of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO
Under the auspices of the Panpontian Federation of Greece
Composers, works but also the interpreters of the concert, vibrate following the dynamism and the expression of the music from Black Sea. The Athens State Orchestra and Vladimiros Symeonidis honour the day of commemoration of the Genocide of Pontians, the Greeks from Black Sea, bringing to the light valuable moments of the local musical creation. The programme ends with Tchaikovsky's symphonic last composition, the heartbreaking and so deeply confessing symphony, the "Pathetic".
